This peel off mask is wonderfully soothing and can help to calm and combat redness. Chamomile is well known for its healing properties, whereas honey is known for its anti-inflammatory properties making both products highly suitable for those with sensitive skin. However it is worth noting that if you do have sensitive skin it is important to do a patch test on a small area of skin before proceeding to put it on the face. YOU WILL NEED: 2 tablespoons of strongly brewed chamomile infused tea 1 tablespoon of honey 1 packet of gelatine (preferably vegetable) METHOD: Start by brewing you chamomile tea. Make sure it is left for a while so it really infuses. Take your two tablespoon of chamomile and mix it up with the gelatine in a small microwaveable dish. Mix it together so you have a chunky consistency. Put your dish into the microwave for ten seconds until the mixture is of a smooth consistency. Add you tablespoon of honey and give it a good mix. Apply the mask to a cleansed face with an old make up brush or spatula. Leave to set for 20-25 minutes, you’ll be able to tell it’s done if it feels tight. Take the mask off in one if possible. Rinse and tone your face. Might I suggest my Lavender and Honey Toner then follow with a light moisturiser. And there you have it, a wonderful mask for those of you with more sensitive skin. I would recommend using this mask maybe once a week with help reduce blackheads, redness and other blemishes. Pascale Loveniers Akwa Wellness, Health & Beauty Blog
